Useful information
On Tuesday 17th March, Jemison Class will visit The Amelia Centre Art Gallery in Tunbridge Wells to create a piece of art and meet all the requirements of The Discover Art Award. All the details can be found here.
We expect that reading books and school bookmarks are brought into school every day. The bookmarks will be checked regularly to ensure that the children are reading regularly at home. In KS2, children are responsible for changing their own books when needed. Once your child has moved beyond the colour banded books, they are free to choose their own reading material either from the library at school or from home. The children will have weekly lessons focussing on reading comprehension skills, with those who need extra support reading frequently 1:1 with an adult.
