Parish Council Meeting
On Wednesday 14th September our year 6 children took part in a Parish Council Meeting. 8 children took on the role of councilors and the rest of the class were members of the public with issues they wanted the Parish Council to debate. The meeting was led by Chair of Rotherfield Parish Council, and Mr Harris the Vice-Chair was also present. Some of the issues debated were the need for a pedestrian crossing in the village, whether a skateboard park could be add to the rec, and whether tennis courts would also be needed. All the councilors spoke well, debating both sides of all the issues before voting on whether to agree these items. Members of the public were also invited to vote.
