Year 5 and 6 Football Tournament
On Wednesday 2nd November, some year fives and sixes went to a football tournament at Beacon. The team played valiantly and the substitutes cheered everyone on. At the end of every match the team showed great sportsmanship by shaking hands and giving three cheers to the opponents. We played 4 matches; we won one, lost two and we drew one. The players were: Robert, and he played amazingly on the right wing and in defence. Then there was Henry, he scored the first goal of the tournament, he played great in midfield, defence and incredibly in goal. Then there was Thomas, and he played amazingly, making many great saves and incredible shots and runs. There was also Hugh, he played well, and did some very long throws, as well as one assist. Then there was Tom, and he played so well, making some great runs and shots. There was Benji and Sam, they both played really well, making many runs, assists, and some great goals. Finally there was William, he played valiantly, making tackles, assists, and best of all, scoring goals. And we cannot forget Owen, he was a brick wall in defence, no one could get past him, if they didn’t go to him. Rotherfield had the advantage of missing the first match, so we could work out the teams tactics. It did kind of help us a little bit. But we couldn’t have done it without the coach Andy. But also the incredible divers who helped us get to Beacon. These drivers were Liz, Jane, and the incredible Mrs Modjesch. We really enjoyed our game at Beacon and hope to come back soon.
